It depends whether it is a Newport Red, or Newport Menthol, and regular's or 100's. Menthol 100's have about 1.4-1.6 Menthol Regulars have about 1.2-1.3
Menthol have menthol in them, to make the smoke feel cool and minty. The temperature of the smoke is actually slightly higher, but it affects the cold-sensing nerves in the mouth and throat. Some studies have suggested that nicotine absorption is greater than for non-menthol cigarettes.
Not all Newport cigarettes are menthol. They are available in both regular and menthol.
