Jogging can burn up to the most calories for an overweight person due to the fact that a person burns more calories by being overweight since there is more weight which has to be moved. It also builds muscle in the legs which burns more calories per day than the same weight of fat. Lifting weights also adds muscle while burning a little fat adding to the weight loss and giving a great exercise at the same time.

The best exercises to help remove back fat are crunches (you lay down on your back and bring your feet and legs and then your chest up at the same time and do about 50 of them) or you can do superman(lay on your stomach and grab your feet with your hands and lift your chest and legs up off the ground for 2 minutes) you can also do this exercise lifting weights( you hold the weights in your hands and then you lift them and make sure that your arms make a complete straight line when they come up.)
