I'm a girl and i think original ones and funny ones because girls like guys with a good sense of humor, but don't go for the lines like "are you tired because you've been running through my mind for so long" a girl might smack you for that. you should tell her something that compliments her, not something that may offend her. And DONT USE TRASHY LINES!!!!!!

Secondly, most "pick up lines don't work."

A pick up line is just another way of saying opener or conversation starter. The best openers will be situational. It depends on your venue (where you're at ex. night club or on the street). If you're in the street you will need to use something a little more direct to get her attention like "hey, i saw you walking by and i just wanted to tell you you have a real cool look about you - you don't see that very often around here, im ____" bam your in.

Or if you're in the night club you could simply open with "Are you a social person? Cool, come help me pick up women, my names ___."

That's just a quick rundown on how opening women and starting a conversation works.
