The whole idea of interacting in a sexual way with a girl can be a daunting prospect, especially when all previous experience has been to shun them entirely. Sometimes a boy will find it easier to turn to a close, trusted friend when it comes to experimentation and exploration of his sexual side. Boys of this age should be reassured that even if they "try stuff" with other guys, it's no big deal because studies have shown that even close friends who have enjoyed a sexual relationship as boys, do not necessarily grow up to be gay.

What's important is not who you are attracted to, but how you treat them -- treat them with the same care and respect you would want others to treat you. (Yes, it's that old Golden Rule!)
