Right now you can get the iPhone through AT&T and T-Mobile. All you do is order a sim card and you can use T-Mobile on your iPhone. WHen it will be able through other carriers some people say will be in January when the iPhone goes to Verizon, and October when it goes to Sprint.
No. The Iphone is exclusive to AT&T. You have to have it unlocked to use it with other carriers. But other carriers should have phones similar to the Iphone.
No. But there are talks with other providers on possibly expanding the Iphone's service support.
You don't need to be jailbroken now that the iPhone supports most carriers. The iPhone 4 is physically unable to switch from GSM to CDMA carriers anway.
The iPhone will always be available on AT&T, but since 2010 they expanded to other carriers such as Verizon (2010), Sprint (2011), and T-Mobile (2013).
speculation is the end of this year I am hearing in July of next year TMobile will start offering this service. you could also buy an unlocked iphone to use on other carriers
The iPhone is only available for AT&T and yes, there is an iPhone-specific data plan that is required. iPhone's that have been "unlocked" can be used with other carriers such as T-Mobile or Verizon, but even then an extremely large to unlimited data plan would be required (otherwise, you would have a LOT of overage charges since the iPhone is connected to the internet at all times).
There are many other wireless carriers available, depending on the area. Other carriers include T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint. Also, there may be wireless carriers specific to metropolitan area (i.e., MetroPCS).
It depends on what country you live in. If you live in the US then you can go into an AT&T Store (Verizon soon as well) and sign up for a contract or order online (with AT&T contract [Verizon coming soon]). If you live in most other countries that have iPhone you can order an unlocked iPhone online through the Apple Store or through your carriers website/store.
The Impossible Game has been described as "bafflingly addictive" and it has been awarded the iPhone App of the Week award. However, the game is available for mobile platforms other than iPhone. The affordable app is available for Android devices through the flukedude website.
The iPhone 4S is available through Sprint. Other phones currently available at Spring are the LG Marquee and the Samsung Conquer. The HTC Evo Shift and HTC Evo 3D are also phones that are available through Sprint.
In my opinion the iPhone is the best smartphone available on the market. User ratings also give the iPhone higher ratings than any other smartphone available.
No it's available on other networks too.
Well...As of April 2011 the American iPhone is compatible with:AT&TVerizon WirelessSprintC SpirenTelos**can also use T-Mobile's slower EDGE network with a SIM Card for those who are desparate to own these quality devices.***Once again, these are only the American carriers.
I think PCworld or Macworld did mention somewhere that apple had plans to expand their device to other carriers... but that will be some time.
