Well I know that you can swim in Swimming Pools on your period because last month I went on a holiday for a week and that week I had mine, I didn't wear pads or tampons and I had fun the whole day. Nothing leaked, but I wore and underwear and then swimming shorts on top.trust me I took a risk and I'm 12. I was nervous. I kept asking questions but people said that you have to wear a tampon. Some people are not comfortable with wearing tampons. So anyway have fun!

∙ 9y agoYes, it's absolutely okay to go on water slides or do whatever you want during your period. However if you're going in the water you'd need to use internal menstrual products such as tampons, menstrual sponges, menstrual cups, diaphragms, or softcups. You cannot go without any menstrual products as blood will get in the water which isn't nice for other people, and you cannot use pads.

I personally cant wear them, so i just dont go during my period. But if you can wear them, the options there >_<

no you can not go swimming when your period is heavy. When it is at they very end and its not that heavy your period will not stop in the water, but will be held back. Also, if you go swimming and you have your period when you get out of the pool it might start to drip down your leg.
Why are giraffes able to go a long period with out water?
Giraffes can go for about 7 days without water because they get moisture from the leaves.

If you have your period and you go in the shower.. your period will stop until you get out of the shower. I don't know why, but you can't have your period when you're in water. ** Your period can and will continue when you are in water! Taking a shower will not hurt you while you are on your period. True, it doesn't actually stop.. but for most young ladies, the flow doesnt come out in water. This does not mean that you should rely on water to stop your period.. if you ever go swimming, make sure to use a tampon.

When in water what little blood leaves your body can be diluted in the water, but heavier flow may be noticed and especially so if you pass uterine tissue that wouldn't be diluted in water, once you get out the water blood will be more obvious too.

It's bad to swim or go in water when your on your period. A river might flush the discharge right away if it's fast enough, but if it is more of a lagoon, then I wouldn't.
