No, but if you get voipstunt account and download fring on your i pod touch you can call other phones with it for free, you tube it to watch step by step intructions. and yes you can also text cell phones and send email on i pod touch and call and receive phone calls, but!! your i pod touch needs to be connected to WiFi to do them

∙ 14y agoNo. The iPod Touch (as well as the rest of the iPod line) is a gadget for entertainment, not for communication. Apple has created the iPod Touch for users who do not want the iPhone, and the iPhone is basically the iPod Touch with a phone.

∙ 12y agowell kindof yes because if you Have the newest iPod touch the 4th gen that can take videos and pictures so if it can record your video of sound and movement then you can get an app that lets you talk and txt for free as long as you have wi-fi neer or around you this lets you have a iPhone kindof so that's what think is cool about the iPod touches. hope i answered your question bye-bye.

∙ 12y agoNo, iPod Touches are not phones, but if your have the 4th Generation, you can do FaceTime and iMessage with other iPods and iPhones. But besides that no, it also cannot have 3G or 4G, which makes it lack of wireless connectivity with the 3G or 4G towers.
