I'd go by this....

nickle = $5 = 1-1.5 grams

dime = $10 = 2.8 gram

1/8'th = $20 = 3.5 grams

quarter = $30-$35- = 7 grams

half ounce = $60-$70 = 14 grams

ounce = $160-$180 = 28 grams

An ounce measured in grams is 28 grams

so...

28/2 = 14 - is a half

28/4 = 7

28/8 = 3.5

28/10 = 2.8

28/18 = 1.5
