After you "shock" a pool with chlorine (a large amount to potentially kill anything that has been growing in there - bacteria from human waste, algae...), you should at least wait 24 hours if it is a small pool. If you can still smell a very strong odor from the chlorine, stay out longer. Larger pools with large filtration systems (such as public pools) usually 2-3 hours is good.
That depends on how much and what you are using rule of thumb I shock once a week using enough for 20,000 gallons and wait at least 12 hours so I try to put it in on Sunday night before bed so I know it will be ok by monday noon I also have an automatic chlorinator on the pool set to deliver a set amount at all time when filter is running which is allways during swimming season hope this helps.
I'd wait at least 24-48 hrs, depending how much chlorine you added, if you super shocked the pool then wait 24hrs if you just added a small amount, it's now a big deal. Im a homeowner not a pool builder or cleaner. This is what we;ve done in the past.. you'd might want to call a pool supply store and ask this question just to make sure. You should wait 20 to 30 minutes for normal additions of chlorine or other chemicals. However you should read the manufacturers instructions ir directions with the regard to algaecides. If superchlorinating you obviously need to wait longer. You have to give the circulation system time to distribute any chemical additions to the pool such as chlorine of muriatic acid.
You should wait approximately 20 minutes to swim after adding liquid chlorine to your swimming pool. This will allow the time necessary to accurately circulate and disperse the chemical throughout the water.
I was told at a pool shop that you should shock your pool in the evening and leave it alone overnight. Should be good to go by the next day. It is a good idea to invest in some test strips to make sure the water is where it is supposed to be.
You can get straight in, there is nothing to wory about.
I'm pretty sure it's four or five
You just need to wash the piercng out once you are done swimming, so go have fun.
The swimming pool at the Landmark Hotel in London is 15-metres. It's a heated and chlorine-free swimming pool. One can enjoy swimming in this pool without worrying about the side effects of chlorine, especially if one is pregnant.
There Is No Time You Have To Wait, This All Depends On Personal Preferation. As Long As You Go Swimming In A Pool Containing Chlorine You Will Be Fine.
No, as long as he/she is not swallowing it or developing a rash, then he/she should be fine.
Chlorine is a poisonous gas usually used in swimming pools, when breathed in, it can be very dangerous and harmful but used in swimming pools it is highly diluted and if only swallowed occasionally, is harmless. If people swim in chlorinated pools regularly, then their hair can become lighter, although if a persons hair is very blonde, almost white, then long periods in swimming pools can lead to hair gaining a greenish tinge, which can be washed out in a shower or bath. Overall chlorine is dangerous as a gas in air but is harmless in swimming pools, and there are no long term effects.
Probably until the person who had the virus is cured. But you never know how long bacteria can last.
I'm not sure what you mean. If your qeustion is how long do you have to wait to swim after adding chlorine, it really depends. If you're adding chlorine to bring the level up to 2.0 or 3.0ppm, then wait minimum 1 hour before swimming, and be sure the filter is on. If you're shocking the pool and bringing the level up to 10-12ppm, you need to wait until the pool reaches a safe level as stated above.
It really doesn't matter how long you wait because chlorine is bad no matter how long you wait. It helps a little if you wet your hair with fresh water before swimming, also put a leave-in conditioner on before you swim, this way your hair won't absorb as much chlorine.
You can add sodium thiosulfate, circulate for one hour and chlorine will be gone.
Until it expires.
Yes. 7% in each bottle of water is chlorine. +++ Are you sure about that level? Mains water chlorine levels are about 2ppm; swimming-pools use 2 -4 ppm. That's far, far lower than that 7%: you'd be drinking bleach!
Until it is healed, or at least 6 weeks
