There are many different ways to harden playdough. One is to leave it out, but that can take weeks for it to fully harden. If its for like a project cover it in glue (so it doesn't crack) and bake it in the oven checking on it every few minutes.

you just make it soft using your hands by making it soft you must rub it and until its soft again

You need to leave it for a day or 2 and it will becone hard.. you can make it soft after by rubbing it sevral times

It doesn't harden; that's the entire point. You can refrigerate it for an hour or two to make firm moulds, but it won't harden permanently.
