I think that being very fertile means your eggs are of a good quality, very healthy etc. Ovulation is where your ovary(one of the two) releases an ovum down the fallopian tube. Obviously, whenthis egg hasn't been fertilised within so many days, you have you period. This whole process is known as the menstrual cycle.

How tell the difference between normal eggs and animal eggs?

Sounds like your asking how to tell the difference between fertile and infertile. If so after 7 or 8 days you can candle the egg to look for embryo growth. Candling is nothing more than shining a bright light at the end of an egg and peering into the egg. On the the other hand if your referring to the difference between a fowl egg and a reptile egg. Then your answer is fowl eggs are hard shelled and reptile eggs are soft and leathery.

What is an egg that is not fertile callled?

An egg that has not been fertilized by the rooster's sperm is called an infertile egg. a hen will lay infertile eggs without the assistance of a rooster. Commercial egg layers have never and will never know what a rooster looks like, but they will produce an infertile egg 6 days out of a 7 day week.

How do you tell if a cockatiel egg is fertile?

If they are round and plump. Infertile eggs also tend to be yellow. Even if the eggs are dented I would still put them in an incubator until they mold since they can still be fertile and produce perfectly healthy babies.

Do all eggs turn into chicks?

The eggs have to be fertilized before being laid in order to "grow" a chick. No most hens eggs for the human food chain are infertile all eggs are screened for fertility (blood spot in egg if fertile) any fertile eggs are removed before packaging. Most battery eggs are infertile, there is more chance of a fertile egg from free range chickens.

Do you eat fertilized or unfertilized eggs?

It is important to know what is being consumed. When a person eats eggs, they are suppose to eat unfertilized eggs, as a fertilized egg with have some formation of an animal in it.No. Most eggs sold today are from large egg producing facilities and there are no interactions between hens and roosters. Most of the egg producing hens have never and never will see a rooster. The only time you may get fertilized eggs is if you buy from a local farm and unless you incubate the eggs you would never know you are eating a fertile egg. There is no discernible difference between a fertile and non fertile fresh egg.Yes, there is really no difference nutritionally between fertile and non-fertile eggs. Unless the egg has been incubated for several days there is no visual difference either. Farm fresh eggs are more often fertile than not. Store bought factory produced eggs are never fertile. The chicken eggs we eat are unfertilized. Actually some are fertilized. It depends on what type of egg you get. But after they have been refrigerated they will not hatch.

Can you cause a fertile duck egg to be infertile I bought hatching eggs and they were clear after 15 days of incubation is there anything I could have done to cause this?

There are things that a person can do to cause a duck to become infertile. Feeding certain foods, along with allowing a duck to get too warm or too cold, can all cause it to become infertile.
