A fence or city limit could represent a cell membrane in a city. Their jobs are to determine what can enter and leave.

A motion sensored gate. It is like a cell membrane because it controls on what goes in and out of the cell/city. Hope this helps! :-)

Well, I do not think it would be a wall, because that is the cell wall. The cell membrane might be guards that only let specific people in.

The cell membrane of the city might be a guard or a door with a locked key that only some things can get in. Like the way the cell membrane chooses what goes in and out in a cell. :)
