Using the buttons to the right of the steering wheel for the dashboard computer (compass, fuel consumption, etc) -- look up the function of each button (I can't remember off hand) in the owner's manual, select the service interval desired (5,000 miles, 2,500 miles, etc) and then push reset button. The "Perform Service" light is a voluntary reminder light, not indicative of an engine problem. Good Luck. On a 2008 you turn ignition on, with engine off, and press the gas pedal to the floor three times to reset.
