You do not need to remove the dash.

Take out the ash tray (by pressing down the lever as you pull it out)

Starting at the sides, pull firmly on the plastic trim through the ash tray opening.

The trim will start to pop off.

Be careful not to pull to hard, as the trim is attached by small plastic tabs with metal clips on the end you may break them and not be able to get the trim piece back on.

There are two on the bottom, two in the middle and two at the top (Will vary on car package).

Once you pull it off, you'll see the two bolts holding the radio in.

Remove these two bolts and slide the radio out.

TIP: When installing the new radio, try to find a harness adapter. It will make installation easier and cleaner.

If at any time you cannot purchase an adapter, cut the wires 2 to 2 1/2 inches from the plug the is in your dash.

When you sell the car in the future you may want to replace the stock radio back into the car.

By cutting 2 to 2 1/2 inches from the plug you can re attach it for the stock radio.

Removing single CD player from Tahoe 1999 The entire front dash panel that goes around the stereo and over around the speedometer and gauges unsnaps loose. Then you can get to the CD players sides where you press down on the latches mounted on each side and slide it out, then unplugs from the back of the CD player

the trim plate around the stereo will just pop off just check for screws around it and be careful not to crack it You need to remove a few of the upper screws on the lower dash pannel, to get at a couple that hold the face pannel. There is one more screw that you need to take off inside the gauge cluster. You also need to disconect the wiring plugs for the passenger airbag switch as well as the headlights

The entire drivers side dash pops out. It's ridiculously easy. NOT theft proof. You may need to set the gearshift into 1st gear, to get it past. Gently tug on it it should just pop out. Then you have to take out the heat controls, tabs. then the radio should have two screws. If that doesn't work...Use a 7 lb. sledge and a crow-bar.

Believe it or not they made easy. Open the ash tray. There is one 7mm (I think) hex screw on the right side of the ash tray, in the back. Remove it. Next open the little door to the left that covers the cigar lighter. Another screw to remove in the back. From the bottom center console where you took out the screws, tilt the bezel (frame) out towards you then down to disengage the tabs holding it in at the top. Optional: disconnect the ash tray light and cigar lighter to totally remove the bezel. The are two screws holding in each component in the dash. Unscrew those and they slide right out. The connections for the radio locked in-place at the back of the radio. You'll have to look to see how to un-clicp them.

Remove the NEGATIVE battery terminal from the vehicle battery.

Start at the bottom of the trim bezel around the radio and pull out. Then pull out at the top. It just snaps into place.

Remove the two bolts that hold the radio in place. There is one at the top right hand side and one at the lower left side of the radio.

You can now pull on the radio to remove it. Reverse the procedure to install.

You don't remove the dash. You remove the part of the dash that surrounds the radio, thus giving you access to the radio.

How do you remove the radio from a 2006 Chevy Equinox?

You must insert the 5 digit code. If you cannot find the code, then go to the selling dealer. They may have it on file. If not, you will have to remove the radio the get the serial # off the radio chassis. With that serial # the dealer can provide the code. There is no other way.

How do you remove the front panel to install a radio in a dodge ram?

Fairly easy,I did it in about 5 mins.(2000 Dakota with Infinity system) You need to pry off the bezel that surrounds the dash. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the bezel, and pop it out of its retaining clips. I had to lower the tilt steering wheel to make room to get it out. Once that is off, you'l lsee the radio. Mine is held in by 2 bolts, just unscrew them and the radio unit will pull out.

How do you remove the radio in a suzuki sx4?

This is a difficult task and takes patience. First you must disconnect the temperature control cable underneath the dash just to the right of the center console. This is done by removing a 7mm bolt using a 7mm boxend wrench. Then you must then unhook the cable downwards from its side mounting. If you look very closely at the bottom of the plastic bezel you will notice 2 small slots where you use a small slotted screwdriver to start prying the bezel off working your way upward. It is almost impossible not to scratch the dashboard under the bezel. The metal retaining clips will start falling from behind the dash, so it would be helpful if you had a magnet to retrieve them even if you don't end up re-using them.
