Take out the two (7mm) screws under the dash/above the speedometer. Open up that little compartment above the ash tray Open the glovebox See the little piece of lower trim to the right of the glovebox? That needs to come off as well. Do that by pulling that whole piece towards you. It is held on with metal clips Now put the car in 1st gear (e-brake on) and tilt the wheel down Start pulling the dash cover off...it is held in with those metal clips...all the way across. Scary, but it will come off. I don't remember if you need to remove the lower panel under the steering wheel, but if you do it comes off with a tug towards you. You will see the screws that hold the radio on, they are the same size as the ones you took off above the cluster. Once you have the large piece off and in your hands, WATCH OUT for the nasty oil-foam around the backside of the AC vents. If you get it on anything or you....it will make a mess for sure.

On the passenger side of the dashboard there is a fusebox, open the passenger door and remove the fuse box cover on the side of the dashboard. There is one single screw that you need to take out, and the rest of the dashboard pulls straight out. Then locate your radio and take out the couple of screws. Pull out wiring harness off the back of your radio and it will come out.
I have a 97 and I think its the same. On the underneath side of the top part of the dash there's a black plastic piece and all along it are several plastic pressure clips in about the middle. They are hard to remove without breaking them so be careful. Once they are out pull up on the top corner of your dash and release the plastic underside. With this out you can see several screws along the top underside of the dash. Also on each side of your dah is a plastic cover. The drivers side pops off fairly easily but take care by sliding it up and out. The pasenger side has two screws I believe one is hard to see without opening the glove box. There is also a screw under each plate that needs to be removed for the main part of the dash removal. Once screws are removed the lower part of the dash can be pulled forward but do not take to do anything more than just release the bottom of the front dash panel. You cannot pull it all the way forward until the next step is completed. Now where the screws were removed just under the dash are plastic tabs that are wedged between the top of the dash and the back screw in clips. Pull up easily on the top of the dash to give room to pull these forward. Once all tabs are free there is two wire clips to pull free one for the head lights and one for the traction. Once these are free you can manuvere the dash out toward the passengers side. Once you have this done the radio is in plain site and just a few screws and it pulls forward to release the wire clip and antenae cable on back. Seems like alot but not the worst I've done. Give yourself about and hour and make sure to order the wire harness and dash kit for any aftermarket radios.
