Why would your brake lights not work but your back window brake light does work 2003 corolla?

i would try changing your bulb in the rear of the car first then if it still not working then look for fuse or wiring problem

What would be the problem if the back hatch brake light works on top but the two corner brake lights don't . it's not the fuse or bulb?

Sounds like bulbs need to be replaced--they most likely are double filamented-larger filament for tail lights and smaller for brake lights be a broken wire or a bad ground Depends on the car....most use 2 different circuits the top light going straight to the brake pedale switch and the tailights going through a control module THEN to the tailights. Check EVERY fuse you have in the car

If your brake lights do not come on until touching the floor board what would you do to increase sensitivity or what would you replace?

Adjust the brake switch located on either the brake lever itself, or it will be attached underneath the dash. SOunds like your brake switch is off or broken. Look at the brake pedal and there is a switch around it that gets activated by you pushing the pedal - that is what needs to be adjusted or replaced. The brake light switch has probably come loose or broken. Look under the dash near the brake pedal arm. There is a switch attached to a bracket.

1988 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme brake lights wont turn off?

you may want to make sure you have a DUAL(meaning TWO pieces of wire inside the bulb) filament bulb on the brake lights, if you just replaced the bulb and used a MONO filament bulb it will cause this to happen. If this isn't the case, you may want to take it to a mechanic to make sure the sensor that senses when you are pushing the pedal isn't stuck or out that would also cause the same problem.

Why do my brake lights and cruise control not work on 2001 ford explorer sport even though all other lights work?

Brake Lights Don't WorkThere could be several causes for this problem, and without being able to see and troubleshoot the brake light wiring circuit no one can tell you the specific cause. Some of the possible causes include:Brake light switch is not adjusted properly. The fuse for that circuit is "blown" out.A wiring harness connector anywhere in that circuit has become unplugged, or loose. The ground wire or wires for that circuit have become disconnected, or the connection of the ground wires to the vehicle's grounded body sheet metal has been blocked by corrosion.A wire in the circuit has been cut, broken, or pulled loose. The brake light switch has become defective. There are probably a few other causes I have forgotten about.

How many fuses control the turn signals and brake lights?

It depends on the vehicle but in general you would have one fuse for the signals and one fuse for the brake lights.

Why are the Mercury Grand Marquis 1989 turn signals flashing too fast. Is is the flasher unit .?

I have a 1996 Grand Marquis. If one of the brake lights goes out the signal on that side flashes faster. I would check the brake/tail lamps.

Why would '97 Buick Skylark brake lights turn signals hazards all stop working at once while center brake light in rear window works fuses are good changed turn signal switch and still doesn't work?

The only thing common to all those lights (but not to the center brake light) is the hazard switch. I'd check that next. On my 96 Century the hazards override the signals and brake lights meaning that the signals and brake lights must be wired into the hazard switch somehow.

Why would you have dash lights and no horn windshield wipers lights brake lights or turn signals?

Check your fuses. See owner's manual for location and assignment of fuses.

Why would your turn signals quit working after replacing the brake lights?

Brake lights often use a dual-filament bulb. If this gets inserted the wrong way other functions can suffer.
