the shawnees would pretty much use and combine anything they had around, or could make to fit their needs. they had knives of all sizes for the biggest and smallest jobs they are needed for, like hunting, war, eating, digging... etc. that would also use knives for throwing, thus was useful in hunting small animals, however it isn't as accurate as seen in movies. they also had tomahawks. that was used for hunting, chopping, cutting, and throwing. throwing tomahawks was a sport to the shawnees, it showed who was a great warrior, and better hunter. another tool was a club. it was used during war time when a blunt force was needed. and they would also throw it. i doubt it was effective, but if it would hit the target it woulddefinitely hurt. the legendary bow and arrow would be the most effective of them all, however the shawnee practiced since a child and when they would be ready to hunt they would have mastered the way of using it. they would be equal to the modern day sniper. they could hide far away and hit a target right where they want it to. smaller tools they used were a flint, that was used to start fires. they would strike the flint onto a piece of steel called a striker, and it would start fires. char-cloth was also use to help start fires, it was to hold a little flame while other items were placed on top of it to make the flame bigger. they would also use magnifying glasses, the shawnee didn't make them, but they traded with the "white men" and they started using them as well. the shawnees also had little forks and spoons they would make out of wood. it would make eating easier. take in account that when moving, or in the forest hunting, each person would carry everything they needed to survive with them. so everything mentioned above and more they would have on them. they would carry a big waterproof blanket, it could serve as a bed, cover, and a raincoat. i hope all of this was helpful.
