I think you mean Hannibal Rising (2007)?Thomas Harris published four novels that feature the Hannibal Lecter character. First was Red Dragon (1981), and the first movie based on it, Manhunter (1986). In Manhunter, the Hannibal Lecter character is played by Brian Cox, not Anthony Hopkins. The second movie that was based on Red Dragon(which is also titled Red Dragon) came out in 2002. Red Dragon (2002) stars Edward Norton, and Anthony Hopkins plays Hannibal Lecter.Harris published the Silence of the Lambs in 1988. The movie came out in 1991. Then came Hannibal the novel (1999) and Hannibal the movie (2001). Hannibal Rising, the novel, came out in 2006, and Hannibal Rising the movie came out the next year (2007).
In Manhunter (1986), Hannibal Lector is played by Brian Cox. In Silence of the Lambs (1991), Hannibal (2001), and Red Dragon (2002), he is played by Sir Anthony Hopkins. In Hannibal Rising (2007) he is played by Gaspard Ulliel.
Thomas Harris, who wrote the Silence of the Lambs novel, based his characterJame Gumb, a.k.a. Buffalo Bill, on five actual serial killers: Jerry Brudos, Ed Gein,Ted Bundy, Gary M. Heidnik and Edmund Kemper.

Its not a remake of any film, nor is it a remake of manhunter. Manhunter was based on the Tom Harris book Red Dragon and The Silence Of The Lambs was based on the Tom Harris book The Silence Of The Lambs! The film Red Dragon is however a remake of the movie Manhunter.
Thomas Harris
The Hannibal Lecter series right?
Buffalo Bill was very, very loosely based on the real-life serial killer Ed Gein. I say "very, very loosely" based because Buffalo Bill and Ed Gein have only ONE thing in common: they both sewed together suits out of their victims' skin. Other than that, the Buffalo Bill character bears no resemblance to Ed Gein whatsoever.
Manhunterwas based on the book Red Dragon which is the prequel to Silence of the Lambs. Red Dragon was later made into its own film in 2002.
Thomas Harris
Thomas Harris wrote the books that the films were based on
No, "Alice in Wonderland" is a work of fantasy literature by Lewis Carroll. There is no evidence to suggest that it is based on a serial killer.
