hi colton is a pencil eater David was Israelite. Goliath was on the side of the Philistines but he was probably a mercenary hired by them because of his great size, and his nationality may not be known.
The story of David and Goliath is found in 1 Samuel 17. The actual battle scene is found in verses 50-51.
1 Samuel 17:50-51:
"So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him. David ran and stood over him. He took hold of the Philistine's sword and drew it from the sheath. After he killed him, he cut off his head with the sword."David was an Israelite son of Jesse, Goliath a Philistine giant measuring over nine feet tall. Goliath taunted the army of King Saul for 40 days. David was sent by his father to check on his brothers, when he heard Goliath's challenge he volunteered to fight him. David stunned Goliath with a stone and then killed him with his own sword and cut off his head.
Another episode, at 2 Samuel 21:19 casts further light on the legend of Goliath, saying that Elhanan killed Goliath. The Hebrew Bible in English (JPS 1917 Edition) says:
And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob; and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Beth-lehemite slew Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.
The King James (KJV) translation has added 'the brother of' to this account [in italics to indicate that this was not an exact translation], but most other English translations of the Book of Samuel seem to have continued with the Hebrew Bible version.
The Bible says that David went on to become king of Israel, with 2 Samuel saying that the defeat of Goliath was a key reason for his ready acceptance by the Israelites. The Book of Chronicles does not mention David's victory over Goliath although it is essentially a late rewrite of the Books of Samuel and Kings, and therefore does not attribute his kingship to this famous victory.

No. There is no such thing as a David Beetle (while the Goliath Beetle actually does exist).
No. According to the Bible, David was an Israelite from the Tribe of Judah and Goliath was a Philistine from the city of Gath. Both of their places of origin would be found in either Israel or Palestine.
Goliath, the Philistine giant, was stunned by a stone from the slingshot of David, future king of Israel. David then killed Goliath with his (Goliath's) own sword.
