Whether a government is a monarchy or a democracy, it runs the country, passes laws, goes to war (at times), collects taxes, and so forth. The business of government tends to be quite similar. Only the method of choosing who runs the government is different. In either case there is the possibility of a corrupt government or an honest government. One is not automatically better than the other, even though democracy is much more philosophically palatable than monarchy. The premise that someone gets to rule a country because of "royal blood" is not very convincing.

They both have a leader and they are both types of government
In both governments, there will be leaders.

In a monarchy there is only 1 leader which is a king or queen

In a democracy, people can vote in on laws and there is only a president unlike a king or queen
their both political systems
