  • 1851 London hosts the great exhibition.

2nd industrial revolution

  • New inventions were being made eg; motor cars, bicycles, steam engine, water frame etc.
  • Electrical engineering is introduced
  • Children were cramped, underfed, being overworked and they were unhealthy in textile factories.
  • Germany and United States overtake Britain.
  • Lighter industries depend on older industries.

After the factory industrial revolution, the cost of everyday goods such as clothing droppd significantly because they were able to be produced faster. This lead to people being able to buy more products. One by product of the so-called post industrial revolution was better working condition for workers. This was an improvement for them as earlier their situations seemed hopeless.
