The Korean War has not, to date, ended. There was a cease-fire signed on July 27, 1953, but there has been no treaty to end the war. In addition to the 1953 armistice signed by the US, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the People's Republic of China, there was a non-aggression treaty signed by the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in 1991.
I believe the document was a cease fire treaty. It didn't end the war, it simply stopped the physical war and began a political one. Answer The document, commonly referred to as the armistice, has the somewhat lenghty title Agreement between the Commander-in-Chief, United Nations Command, on the one hand, and the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army and the Commander of the Chinese People's volunteers, on the other hand, concerning a military armistice in Korea. The document is not a treaty, just an agreement, and is unique in that it is a totally military document with no head of state or diplomat having signed it. It is true that the armistice does not "end" the Korean War and a state of war still exists. You can see a transcript at the link below.
They signed an armistice that China and North and South Korea would never fight. To have peace. South Korea wanted to remain independent, while North Korea, the soviets, and the Chinese wanted to spread communism. South Korea had no chance in stopping the soviets advancement. the soviets had taken control of the country had left only a small piece of the peninsula, Pusan. South Korea asked the United Nations to get involved, and that's when they get aid to resist communism.
they say the Korean war never ended and is still going on today, they also say that's there was no treaty signed during the Korean war, only an armistice, ceasefire, or a truce. but Korea never signed a peace treaty or any kind of treaty.
