No, but the country was part of the Eastern Bloc and Warsaw Pact from 1948-1989.

At the time the name of the country was abbreviated CSSR (Czecho-Slovak Socialist Republic).

This may give rise to confusion with CCCP, the Russian spelling of "USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics).

Czechoslovakia was never a part or Russia. Nor was it ever a part of the USSR which is not quite the same thing.

In fact Czechoslovakia can't be a part of anything now because it no longer exists. A few years ago the inhabitants decided to split the country, into Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

No, Czechoslovakia never was a part of the USSR. It used to be a member of the Warsaw Pact and was considered an Eastern Bloc country, which means it was under heavy influence of the Soviet Union, but it has been a sovereign country since 1918, when it broke off from Austria-Hungary.

I know that at least part of Czechoslovakia was owned by Hitler in World War 2. I think it's safe to say that they were an Axis Power.
