That's a fantastic question but so hard to answer as anything taken into the body to produce an effect can be classed as a drug.
The Romain's used to mix wine vinegar with rust to treat anemia.
Strychnine from the Nux Vomica plant was used as a stimulant for as long as I can remember.
Opium from the poppy goes back to BC era.
Atropine from the deadly knightshade was used by the Romans for eye conditions.
Mercury was used to treat syphilis.
Not all drugs were created by God. Marijuana is a plant that was created by a God. Heroine is a drug that is synthesized by man, and was not created directly by God. All things serve a purpose, marijuana's root (hemp) can be used to make a very strong fabric that will last quite a long time. Maybe He put it on earth for that purpose. We shouldn't assume just because it can be smoked doesn't mean that is how God intended it. For example, bugs can eat rhubarb leaves but they are poisonous to humans. Bugs don't eat the steam, but humans do. God must have made to leaves for bugs (and to help the plant function) and the stem for men (and to help the plant function as well). Nobody can ever by 100% sure, all answers will just be speculation. You can only get the real answer when you go to Heaven and you get to ask Him yourself!
I believe drugs were invented to relieve stress and to make people feel better.Even though they r bad for u i dont think they were invented for bad porposes
most drugs were created by accident like LSD so people didn't mean to make drugs purposely maybe some people but some did it on accident
so the government

Somebody please answer this question!
Medieval physicians tested drugs, but in a very limited and informal way. The scientific method was developed in the Middle Ages, and with it came empirical observations of the effectiveness of drugs being used. But the system was not fully developed, and the trials were not driven by a mathematical understanding of statistics.
This is all largely done by the drug companies that sell us their drugs.

That depends on how you look at it. Few currently used drugs come directly from the rainforest, although many drugs were developed on the basis of 'lead compounds' that were identified from tropical plants. Examples are local anesthetics like lidocaine, that were developed from cocaine, or drugs used in chemotherapy. Roughly 25% of the drugs come from plants originally, not all of them from rainforests though.
Most drugs are developed by the government for medical purposes but a lot of them are abused meth , cocaine heroin are all prescription drugs just people started making their own and abusing them in high dosages
