∙ 10y agoPedophiles have an aquired predisposition to emotional retardation that means their development is hindered & stunted & limited to the level & age group of their early sexual awakening (in childhood & early teens variably) & therefore seek out & repeat that cycle of sexual fantasy & fullfillment into there adult lives. Treatment is possible to break this cycle of behaviour & fantasy & gain empathy for the harm their actions cause but some offenders are more willing to accept help than others who see their desires as normal part of their sexuality
