Sounds bad, but pure Fat has the most energy per gram.

There are three types of energy that the body can process normally, Fat, Protein, and Carbs. Carbs and Protein both contain 4 Cal per gram, while fat has 9 Cal per gram. Therefore, Fat has more energy then Carbs or Protein per gram.

Please note that this answer only looks at what has the most energy, not what is healthiest, nor what the body can utilize the quickest. Fat is not a good source of energy for doing work (as in being easily usable for doing physical work), however it is good for when you run out of food to keep you alive (like if you get stranded in the woods).

Also, ethanol has 7 Cal per gram

I would have to say pasta as long as you don't let it sit, and stay active after you eat it. Pasta breaks down into sugars, which give you energy.
