Some Ecstasy pills have cocaine in them. But usually, if you snort cocaine while you're on Ecstasy, the Ecstasy high will disappear, and you will only be able to feel the effects of the cocaine. I don't know why it's different if you swallow the cocaine (if the cocaine is mixed into the Ecstasy pill). The same thing happens when you drink alcohol on Ecstasy -- the Ecstasy high disappears, and you can only feel the effects of the alcohol.

In short, Ecstasy is best done alone (or with marijuana). As marijuana is a mild hallucinogen, and Ecstasy is too, they go very nicely together.

I wouldn't say the high disappears but it's slightly diminished, however i personally think alcohol and e mix quite well.

In one word: Dehydration.

Alcohol in itself causes dehydration, and ecstasy increases your metabolism, raising your body temperature. If you take the ecstasy at a rave/club, where you're in a hot room dancing, the risk of dehydration and death is exponentially increased.

Whether or not you take it with alcohol, it's always a good idea with MDMA to drink water regularly while on it. This will help regulate your body temperature and keep you safe. The primary cause of death from ecstasy is due to overheating/dehydration. Alcohol will increase these risks, so be aware.

When alcohol and cocaine are mixed in the body cocaethylene is formed in the liver this remains in the body much longer taxing the organs for an extended period of time and this results in the risk of death being 18 times greater when they are used in combination.

Combining medications (prescribed or not prescribed) with alcohol can have unpredictable and unwanted consequences.

Depressants (Xanax, Valium) combined with alcohol have a synergistic effect, with potential for dangerous and even lethal consequences, with rapid onset of dizziness, stumbling, loss of sphincter control, memory loss, and potential death.

Stimulants (e.g., Ritalin, Adderall, Concerta) combined with alcohol conceal alcohol’s effects, so people cannot gauge their level of intoxication, which can result in over-consumption, e.g. significant impairment of coordination and judgment, black out, pass out and potential death.

Prescription opiates (e.g., Vicodin, OxyContin, Tylenol 3 with codeine, Percocet) combined with alcohol can result in slowed or arrested breathing, lowered pulse and blood pressure, unconsciousness, coma, and potential death.

Using cocaine can result in death. Mixing cocaine and any type of alcohol will increase the probability of death. Mixing cocaine and alcohol can also produce hallucinations.
