it sounds like your sufferning from a migrain. Its nothing to worry about but they can become really painful and if it is a throbbing pain and you get pains in one eye. There isn't much you can do. When i get them i take a tablet called migralieve which is very strong (always read the label) and i lay down in a dark room. it usually works.
If you want to stop them full stop then i would recommend acupuncture. However you have to keep having this done to keep migrain attacks at bay. This can become quite difficult if you have a busy schedule.
Migraines are incurable but you can take the symptoms away. Depending how old you are you can grow out of them. with 1 in 10 people suffering your not on your own.
A sharp shooting pain means you have only a few muscles pinched or tight in your neck so the pain is much more concentrated than if you had a bunch of them pinched. You can get rid of the pain by releasing the muscles in your neck and here's how to do that:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your head. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. After 45 seconds, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
With your neck in the lowered position, replace your thumbs in under the ears and your fingers behind your head but right next to your skull this time. Press your fingers and thumbs together again and hold. Relax your body while waiting. When the muscles have all released, slowly lift your head until it's level again, release the pressure but hold your head like that for another 30 seconds.
for best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling.
put some water on it and lie down and relax or go to bed in a dark room (no light)and dont worry
lay down, play music, relax, that's all you need to do
aneurism, stroke.. check for PERRL, Cincinatti Pre-Hospital Stroke Test, facial droops, and the usual stuff. Take patient to a hospital that handles strokes.
