I am a heroin addict, but my withdrawals aren't that bad. the withdrawals of heroin can range from very minor, to severe or even deadly. it really depends on the person, and how much the person takes, how long the person has been using and how they use it,(snort, smoke, inject). Picture it being the WORST week of your life. your week of quitting cold turkey will compare to a week of having a very bad flu. some users will be sick for days vomiting, sweating, very bad insomnia, sneezing, aching, coughing, and physical pain. I believe it is out of your system in 3 days and withdrawals will last about a week. If you are hooked and decide to quit cold turkey, and complete a week clean, you will be feeling much better and see things clear for the first time since you have been addicted. my advice is if anyone decides to quit, NEVER take an opiate again!! because i have relapsed and swore it would only be one time and now i am back to regular use when only a month ago i felt better then i ever did using the drug.
They are unpleasant symptoms caused by not having heroin in your system after regular use (i.e. for someone who is addicted to heroin). They can be suppressed by other opiates like morphine or oxycodone. The symptoms are sometimes like a flu. There is intense craving for heroin, unpleasant feelings, aches, cold sweats, lethargy, dilated pupils, crying, yawning.
The main symptoms are going to be runny nose, tiredness but inability to sleep, yawning, and hot/cold flashes. Since heroin causes constipation, during withdrawal expect a lot of diarrhea.
The worst flu or sickness you ever had times that by 100 and that's how you will feel from withdrawals of heroin. The more you were doing and length of time using also plays a part in withdrawals. Also if you were snorting, smoking or injecting plays a part with injecting being the worst. Get about 3 boxes of 48 Immodium AD, 12 bottles of Gatorade, and 3 days off of work and just do it. Nobody I know has ever died from heroin withdrawals like they have from alcohol or benzo withdrawals. Good Luck
It's a lot like a horrible, horrible flu that lasts for weeks, even months: nausea, vomiting, hot flashes and then chills, extreme fatigue coupled with extreme restlessness, body aches.
No when it comes to heroin, and no when it comes to coming out of your vagina.
Insomnia, chills, sneezing, irritability, body aches, cold sweats. Increased sex drive....
Dude, get help to stop taking heroin at all, it screws you up, whether you feel withdrawal symptoms or not.
I found that amitriptyline got rid of heroin withdrawels completely, although u have to take a touch more each day that u would be in withdrawal
Not sure about that, but if you drink a lot of water it will be out of your system in about three days. The withdrawals will be extremely painful though.
Oxycontin and Heroin withdrawals are very similar..........Opiates are opiates...Your question works in theory, but not in real life....The only way that is possible to beat the Oxycontin the way you describe is to use Methadone for 3 to 4 days after stopping the Oxycontin............No more. Do not become addicted to Methadone, it is ten times worse than Heroin or Oxycontin withdrawals when you quit
withdrawals from terbutaline is possible
withdrawals
yes it last about 24 hours while vicodin only last 5 hours. But be careful as methadone is more addictive than heroin, and the withdrawals are 10x worse.
Physical dependence causes severe and painful withdrawals, overdose causes respiratory failure and death, intravenous use can lead to infections including HIV and hepatitis B and C.
Oh wow! THat is an easy answer, absolutely yes! The severity of the withdrawals symptoms depends on how long you have been taking the methadone. If you have just taken it once, (which is highly dangerous, deadly even) then you should not have any withdrawals that you notice from the methadone. However, if you had been using heroin and then used methadone for one time, you will still have another day or two, depending again on how long you have been taking the other opiate such as heroin, of withdrawals. Now, if you have been on methadone for an extended period of time, say two weeks to a month, you will have withdrawals that are a bit stronger than heroin. However, if you have been taking methadone, either prescribed or otherwise, for longer than 2-3 months, you can guarantee that you are going to go through some horrid withdrawals. If you know what its like to come off of heroin or the strong pain pills, this withdrawal is about ten times that. It is way longer and way more intense. Let me give you my example, I was on methadone while I was pregnant, about 6 months, and then I got off of it about 2 months after he was born, so a total of 8 months, approximately. I even detoxed in 30 days from 65 mgs. I did not feel like myself again for at least 6 months after, and at first I could not eat or sleep, I lay there staring at the ceiling, but I couldn't stay still because it felt like my nerves were being tickled at all times. THat was the torturous part about it, the nerves. I puked and had diarrhea for the first couple weeks, and about a month into it the worst of it lessened. However, the nerves part of it and depression, so many things held me down. It was really bad, and I hated every second of it. I am on methadone maintenance again, and I am so scared of the time I will get off it. It has been a blessing for me this time, though, because I haven't used in 2 years and I started working toward my degree a little over a year ago and I'm still going strong. I have a muich better relationship with my kids and my family now, and Im looking for a job now that I know I can hold one. Methadone Maintenance can be a blessing for the right people.
