Short-Term Effects

When methamphetamine is injected or smoked it immediately produces an intensely pleasurable sensation known as a "rush" or a "flash" by releasing high levels of dopamine in the brain. Snorting methamphetamine produces an euphoric sensation, but not a rush.

Even taken in small amounts, methamphetamine can cause:

  • Increased wakefulness.
  • Increased physical activity.
  • Decreased appetite.
  • Increased respiration.
  • Hyperthermia.
  • Increased heart rate and blood pressure.
  • Irregular heart beat.
  • Cardiovascular collapse.

Other effects of meth use on the central nervous system can produce the following symptoms:

  • Irritability.
  • Prolonged insomnia.
  • Confusion.
  • Anxiety.
  • Tremors.
  • Convulsions.
  • Paranoia.
  • Aggressiveness.

Hyperthermia and convulsions can be fatal. Methamphetamine can also cause irreversible damage to the blood vessels in the brain, resulting in a stroke.

Long-Term Effects

Chronic meth use can result in:

  • Violent behavior.
  • Psychotic behavior.
  • Auditory hallucinations.
  • Mood disturbances.
  • Delusions and paranoia.
  • Homicidal or suicidal thoughts.

The long-term use of methamphetamine can cause damage to the brain similar to that caused by Alzheimer's disease, stroke and epilepsy. This brain damage lingers for months even after the user stops methamphetamine use. Methamphetamine abuse can produce extreme anorexia. Even over a short period of use, methamphetamine can cause drastic changes in the appearance of the user. DO NOT DO METH!

I am not trying to be sarcastic in the least, but you will get high, I'm sure! It will also burn your nose and eventually tear it up inside. It will also ruin your body and mind if you continue to snort it.

The drug's effects are similar to those of cocaine but longer lasting. The initial effect is a feeling of euphoria. Crystal Meth can cause erratic, violent behavior among its users. Effects include suppressed appetite, interference with sleeping behavior, mood swings and unpredictability, tremors and convulsions, increased blood pressure, irregular heart rate. Users may also experience homicidal or suicidal thoughts, prolonged anxiety, paranoia and insomnia. If you want to try something like this, i would go for coke, not meth.

Cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxer, so it will definitely help with a nasty meth comedown. I get nightmarish meth comedowns and usually I'll turn to benzos or opiates but just today I found a bottle of Cyclobenzaprine and it's definitely better than nothing. Start with 20mg, go up to 40 if it doesn't work within 2 hours, but it's not a good idea to go past that unless you're REALLY desperate. Besides that: warm shower, food or protein shake, water, weed, big lebowski. Cyclobenzaprine helps with the muscle aches associated with a meth comedown. Try adding in some benadryl, or dextromethorphan. As a last ditch effor I'll drink cough syrup with dyphenhydramine and dextromethorphan, or drink alcohol, haha.

Eating it will get you high, just the same as smoking, snorting, or injecting it. The difference is that it takes longer for the high to set in, and the high is not as intense.
