Not all wild horses have erect manes and not all domestic horses have 'floppy' manes. Some wild horses developed erect manes to help with camouflage and cooling. While domestic horses and other wild horses mainly have floppy manes to help shoo away bugs.

wild horses don't really trust horses they just ignore them or run away if they are trying to capture them.
Wild horses are notoriously unpredictable, full of spirit and energy, strong, dangerous and can run together in large numbers. A herd of wild horses between you and your love would be a great obstacle. So to say "wild horses couldn't keep me away" says I will do anything, overcome any obstacle, no matter how difficult to be with you, because you mean more to me than my own safety, or possibly my life.
yes and no. There is only 1 breed left that is truly wild, the Przewalski (or mongolian/asian) wild horse. The wild horses we think of, mustangs, are really just feral. Meaning they have domestic anscestors, or were released, or ran away. And no, we have plenty of domesticated horses!
So that they can spot predators soon enough to run away since horses instinct is flight not fight.
