If he is sure he really likes you too... it means he is bragging, talking you up, letting them know you are going to be coming around. If he is unsure if he likes you it could be he is trying to get opinions.

If he just wanted to sit down and talk to you about something while you are going out, then It could mean multiples things from him wanted to possibly propose to you, to him wanting to break up with you. If he wanted to talk to you before you got together, then it's a possibility that he wants to ask you out, or maybe even just spend a little time with you.
