Marijuana is a "Scheduled" controlled substance. Schedule I, meaning little to no use(marinol?), strong potential for abuse/addiction, and danger to persons using it. It is classified in the same way as Meth, and many other lethal substances, unlike marijuana.

Even Cocaine and Heroin, enjoy Shcedule II classification, meaning they are said to have some useful qualities but have restricted distribution.

In the United States at the moment marijuana is a schedule l drug. There have been several attempts to lower it to schedule ll as there are currently accepted medical uses for cannabis, and schedule l drugs are not supposed to have any medicinal value.

C Class, however as an ex user I believe it should be A class because of the damage it causes, the high likely-hood you will try harder drugs and the availability of it. I know work as a Nurse in D & A, am an ex needle user, and am qualified to express my answer.
