If you are dizzy while lying down, it could be your blood pressure. But that usually causes you to become dizzy when going from lying down to standing up. You may have an inner ear infection or problem. Medications can cause this. There are several things that can contribute to becoming dizzy after lying down, some of which are easy to explain. Two simple reasons are mild dehydration (aka lack of water, headaches and fatigue are also symptoms of this) and low blood sugar levels. Another reason, albeit more complicated, is low blood pressure or poor blood flow to the head. Dizziness can result when you move into that position too quickly, and this can also be a result of not having enough oxygen going to the brain. I also have that same problem, but I am diagnosed with anemia, meaning my iron is low and that can result in not having enough oxygen going to the brain causing me to get dizzy if I move quickly in a certain way. First of all you should go see a doctor. This may be caused from a vertebral artery occulsion which is nothing to mess around about. If your dizzyness is also caused by sudden head movements it could also be caused by Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo BPPV. Where crystals in your inner ear become dislodged and affect the specific gravity of the fuild in your semicircular cannals causing you to continue to "sense" movement after you stop moving. Again go see your doctor.

There is a liquid in your ears which helps your body balance. When you first wake up, and you quickly lift up your head, the liquid in your head is still on the side you were sleeping on and you body thinks that you're sleeping on that side, but your eyes tell you that you are standing straight.
