What do you do with old drugs?

Contact your local hazardous waste collection facility. City hall might be helpful here. Often there are annual "Hazardous Waste Collection Days" find when that is and dispose accordingly.

Some drug addicts volunteer to work for such days, in hopes of getting second hand pain-killers; so destroy the contents of each bottle by adding an ounce of water (tightly re-cap) and remove all labels.

Never throw pills in the garbage, they can accidentally be eaten by the homeless or by animals in search of food.

Never flush old meds down the toilet, they end up in the drinking water supply or pollute the waterways.

Make a note of the drugs prescribed for future reference, and destroy the prescriptions.
