What are the side effects of snorting mirtazapine?

- Overall, there are little to no effects from snorting citalopram. You may feel a bit more mellow, but that is about it. I would not recommend it.

Just do not do it ...you will be sorry you did....don't do it because you think it wil get u high...only thing it will do is burn like a mother for a whilke and then the sedating affects will hit you but it does it in a different way not like just swallowing...it will make u feel like crap for most of the rest of ur day.......GemoxY

*Update 11/3/12 1:59am: I just just did it. I have the tiny, white oblong shaped Remeron/ Mirtazapine. I crushed one half into powder and continued to rail it on my laptop. It went in easy, I didn't experience any burning at all, I still don't. I can't seem to taste the drips. And they are little and barely noticeable which makes it difficult for me to evaluate whether or not they have been consumed in whole. Continued to do the other half. I experienced the very slightest of burning as I did the whole half in one go this time but it lasted for a second, and was incredibly faint. The drips still remain tasteless but prevalent. This might be placebo but the back of my nasal passages and my icthroat seem to hint at being slightly numb also which is kind of pleasant. Now this is just for me, and this particular Remeron. I have not tried any other type of Remeron and this is my first time. I have yet to report on the sedation effects.

For those of you who found this while researching, also look up parachuting pills as an effective way of quick and powerful release administration. If the sedation effects are noticeable then I will most likely do this again, it was not an unpleasant experience at all.

It gives you the same effects as taking a pill by mouth. Its just when you snort it, the pill will kick in quicker and you will feel the effects way quicker. When you snort it, the effects will be stronger but the effect will wear off much quicker.

Mirtazapine is only slightly soluble in water, so snorting it might bring on the effects slightly quicker, but it will be similar to ingesting the pill.

Snorting the antidepressant Mirtazapine has no recreational value. It would likely be painful. There is no reason not to just take it normally.
