Not necessarily, since part of Birth Control's use is to regulate the menstrual period it is not uncommon for a disruption to occur after missing a dose. The same problems occur when you stop taking them. Your body has to adjust to a lack of or introduction of chemicals to it. I would not be concerned unless the problem persists. However, if you are very concerned you can call your physician to ease you mind.

Yes this is very normal. This is because the hormones in the pill have reduced from your system, which will put you at risk of pregnancy. You need to be careful for the next 4 weeks and use a condom every time you have intercourse as you are at risk of pregnancy. Continue taking birth control daily and do not miss any more pills. Easier said than done I know, but if you do miss a pill or pills, use a condom for 2 weeks.

If you're taking the combination pill then you don't get a period at all - the pill works to stop your menstrual cycle so you don't ovulate, thus you don't menstruate. The bleeding women get on the pill is a withdrawal bleed caused by the drop in synthetic hormones when going from active to inactive pills or the week break, thus if you miss a pill the drop in synthetic hormones may trigger that withdrawal bleed just like on your week break.

It depends what pills you're talking about.

If talking about the combination birth control pill then you don't get a period at all on these (the whole purpose of these are to stop your menstrual cycles). You get a withdrawal bleed as a result of the drop in hormones when going from active to inactive pills, thus if you miss a pill or more that will cause a similar drop in hormones so in turn cause a withdrawal bleed. If taking hormonal birth control it's really important you learn how it works and what it does to your body.

A normal period occurs every 28 days with or without the pill. There are 30 days in a month, so it'll be impossible for it to be the same date, but as far as the DAY, yes. But it is more regulated and easier to track if you are on the pill.

The pill efficacy rate of 99.98% is based on perfect error free use. Every slip up like missing a pill or taking a pill late lower how effective the pill is at preventing pregnancy.
