With any bleeding during a pregnancy you need to contact your doctor right away. This is not a medical forum and I am not a doctor, but bleeding and clots are often accompanied by a miscarriage. See you doc ASAP. Good Luck.

I'm not a expert If I was you I would go see a doctor straight away you could be having a period while pregnant where as most women do its scary but hopefully the doctors says everything is fine. Its better to be safe than sorry I would say. I would say Cramps is a sign of miscarriage.

no that does not mean a miscarriage, but you should take it easy and consult your doctor, if you are under a lot of stress that could cause it, and no sex until you see your doctor,, just take it easy

No, it could also mean that your folic acid levels are too low. You could get capsules at the pharmacy or simply by eating lots of green. Spinnach has the most folic acid i believe. Or it could be totally normal but to be sure and safe i would consider paying a visit to my gyno a.s.a.p after all we are talking about a life and so a wiki site isint the best place to get anwers about these kinds of questions. PS... A foetus deprived of folic acid could lead to deformation or a well know spinal disease. Simptoms are:1- Fatigue 2- Difficulty sleeping 3- Easy irretability and loss of fluids, can be clear, blood or blood cloths. Good luck!

No, it does not mean that you had a miscarriage, but it could be an indicator. I will tell you what you already know, go see your doctor. At about 5 weeks into my first pregnancy I thought I was having a miscarriage. Thursday evening I noticed dark dark brown spotting. I called my doctor and they said to come in Friday. I went in, still spotting. They did a vaginal ultrasound and could not see a heartbeat (you can't always see one this early) but the sac was measuring correctly. They said to come back on Monday and they would measure again. If there was no change then we would know something was wrong. Saturday morning I began bleeding alot. I went through a whole package of Maxi's. It was bright red blood and was about as heavy as a normal period. I called my doctor and he said that it was probably a miscarriage and there wasn't anything I could do and If I began hemorraging to go to the ER, he was very nice about it...I remember him saying "sorry sweetie, these things just happen sometimes". I went back Monday, expecting to schedule a DNC and to everyone's surprise we saw a heartbeat! 7 months later I delivered a perfect baby girl. I realize that my story is unique and often bleeding is an indicator of miscarriage, but my story goes to show that is not always the case. Never be hesitant to call your doctor about anything...drive them crazy, make them remember your name! I give all the glory in my situation to my ever loving Savior, Jesus Christ and to all the girls who are going through this right now, I am so sorry...It is totally crappy and unfair, but know there is One who never leaves your side and feels your pain with you. Be honest about your feelings and let true healing take place.

Miscarriage is always accompanied by bleeding or shedding of the uterine wall as in a normal period, only much heavier and usually contains some clots.

Light cramps without bleeding or even with light spotting is normal in early pregnancy.

Bloating is a normal part of pregnancy, usually worse in the last trimester. but the initial weight gain some women have in the first few months feels much like bloat or a general puffiness.

Sounds a bit late for implantation bleeding.

Implantation typically occurs 6 to 10 days after ovulation, or day 20 to 24 of a menstrual cycle. However, it can happen a few days earlier or later. In an average, 28-day cycle, ovulation occurs on day 14 (the first day of a period is considered day 1 in a cycle). Once fertilization occurs, the egg stays in the fallopian tube for 3 days before entering the uterus and begins to implant to the uterine linin

When having a early miscarriage the woman might not feel any cramping. Most of the miscarriages happen so early that the woman notice nothing.

This bleeding if it is light, is most likely implantation bleeding, it happens when the fertilized egg first attaches to the lining of the uterus. This type of bleeding is lighter in color than a usual period or a brownish discharge and doesn't last long.

If you think you are about two weeks pregnant and had a once off heavy bleeding and the pregnancy test showsis positive does that mean you had a miscarriage?

It is possible, but the bleeding could also have been from implantation bleeding. A pregnancy test will show positive for a while after a miscarriage because your body has not rid itself of the HCG (pregnancy hormone) levels yet. The further along you were, the longer a pregnancy test will show positive. I would still be on the lookout for any symptoms of pregnancy, continue taking your prenatal vitamins (or at least folic acid), refrain from alcohol and tobacco and caffeine then in a couple weeks take another test and see. Or you can go to the doctor to either confirm pregnancy or miscarriage.
