It depends on your weight, how much alcohol is involved, and your rate of metabolism. Fat stores alcohol, that's why it seems that they can drink more and "hold it", but they will also release the alcohol slower into their bodies therefore. Skinny people use up the alcohol faster because they're not storing it up. I'm 5'10" and 120 pounds. I'm tipsy after 2, but I get sober before closing time if I've had four.
There is no estimate involved. The science has been known conclusively for well over half a century.
The liver metabolizes alcohol at the rate of 1/3 to 1/2 ounce of pure alcohol per hour, depending on minor physical differences and the health of the liver itself. Simple arithmetic will give you the answers.
That works out to about one 12-oz beer or one 4-oz glass of wine or one 1.5-oz shot of liquor per hour. One six-pack = 6 hours.
Alcohol leaves the bloodstream at the rate of .015 of BAC per hour. So a very high BAC of .150 would be gone in 10 hours and a BAC of .08 would be gone in five hours and 40 minutes.
About 1 shot of whiskey/12 oz of beer/1 glass of wine in an hour...(not all three together!)
I don’t know. That is my question.
Not very long, alcohol dehydrates your body.
1hour
well its a long time until it affects your body ex. it will end up leading to alcohol poisoning
About .015 of BAC per hour.
This is a variable thing. The more alcohol that is consumed, the longer it takes for it to be eliminated from the body. To be on the safe side, 24 hours should elapse (even though several hours is long enough in most instance of light drinking, where one or two drinks are consumed.). It takes longer for women to eliminate alcohol, in general (than men), and 50% of the Asian population (in the world) have very little to no alcohol dehydrogenase enzyme, with which to eliminate alcohol - so this is yet another variable.
If you are breast feeding, I strongly urge you not to drink any alcohol whatsoever. The majority of it will be out of your system in several hours, but the toxic byproducts can take even longer for your body to eliminate. To be safe, do not drink alcohol while breastfeeding.
Between stopping drinking and leaving for work, you should allow at least eight (8) hours, like for sleep. This will give your body time to process the alcohol, eliminate it from your blood, and for your body to recover from the mild poisoning the alcohol causes.
Alcohol leaves the body at the rate of about .015 of BAC per hour.
Not for a very long time.
Alcohol can stay in your system for up to 80 hours in a regular urine test.
How does the human body react to long periods without sunlight?
how long will it stay in my body
