flirt a little, and try to make him laugh. then you just make jokes, and see. if he likes you, he will try to make you laugh and try to talk to you. or you could go straight up in a private space

Believe it or not most people are very shy and there are a few that are truly confident. So, you are not alone. Take it slow and easy and work yourself up to it. You could make plans with another girlfriend and her boyfriend and plan to go double dating after you ask this young man out. Hopefully he says yes. Not one human being likes to be rejected, but unfortunately that is something each and everyone of us has to accept in life. Take you time, then walk up (when he's alone) and ask if he would like to go to a movie with you and another couple. Hopefully he'll say yes, but if he doesn't try not to feel too bad and realize that many people have heard the words "no" and I'm one of those people. When I was younger and asked someone out sometimes I was lucky and sometimes I wasn't. When I heard the word "no" I would think "Oh well, I tried." I actually would have a little giggle to myself (probably nerves) and moved on. It never stopped me from asking someone out if I was interested in them and thought they were too shy to ask me out because I never wanted to live with "what ifs". Good luck Marcy

If he is shy and he likes you than he will come up and talk to you more than he talks to other people.

You can never just GET a boyfriend unless you'll take anyone that looks at you. The boy has to come to you and it just has to work, if you go looking the relationship won't mean half as much.
