∙ 13y agoa lump on your neck can be anything from harmless cysts to cancer, which mine was. it wasn't painful and had been there two weeks get it checked out asap, especially if you notice any other lumps in and around groin or armpits as this is a sure sign for lymphatic cancer, either Hodgkin's lymphoma or nonhodgkins lymphoma.

∙ 14y agoIf you are referring to the bone at the base of your skull where your skull meets your first vertabrae then it is called the occipital bone or atlas.
If you have bumped the back of your head and it hurts you should probably get it checked out by a physician. I would recommend doing a quick WebMD search or speak with your physician if you have any medical concerns...
