Will smoking pot give you dry socket?

If you put the blunt or joint directly to your nose and inhale it by sucking the smoke through your nose and blowing it out your mouth it will not cause dry sockets. Dry sockets occur from the sucking of cigarettes, blunts, joints, and straws into the mouth. Dry sockets are very painful and nasty to clean out plus when you get them it adds on at least another week before you are completeley healed.

Assuming that you are asking about tooth extraction, smoking anything could at least keep you from healing. It's the same action as sucking on a straw--which your dentist probably told you not to do.

I would argue that shotgunning, or just inhalation of cannibus will not cause dry- socket. Just have someone else hit it for you and then receive the smoke from them via a paper-towel tube or mouth/hand. Just don't forget not to actually hit it yourself.

Ahhh delt with this one myself, get into a hotbox if you can ,the whole point is to let yourself heal up and taking a break can be benficial cause you'll get extra ripped after a bit of time off ,but if your really jonesing then do what the man above stated ,NO SUCTION :D

Not really. Due to the sucking motion that is needed to draw the flame back and burn the marijuana, you may draw the blood out of the socket, causing further damage and possible infection. If you could figure out a way to not have to suck on the end of a bong or joint, then go for it. (not that i condone smoking)

Smoking anything will cause dry socket, as well as drinking from a straw. The reason you get it is because of the change of pressure in your mouth. So I wouldn't suggest it
