If the bumps are regular and symmetrical IE. the same on both sides, they are most likely a variation of a taste bud- there are different types of taste bud that can be found in different locations- the ones at the back of the mouth are often mistaken by the novice for oral cancer. If you are unsure- visit a dentist :-)
Sounds like you may have thrush if you regularly take steroid inhalers. To prevent this have a sip of water after you have taken them. Thrush usually goes on its own accord, take some ibuprofen/paracetamol to ease the sore throat.
If this isn't Asthma related it may be something called geographical tongue, if so do the same as above to ease the pain.
Everyone has lumps on the back of their tounge. I have been told that they are taste buds.
Bumps on the back of your tongue can be related to a cold or cough. It is also possible that you burned your tongue by eating something that was too hot.
They could also be the normal circumvallate papillae.

I think that you need to take your child to the doctor because all though I am not a doctor white bumps in the throat can be signs of strep throat i have had it many times and each time the first sign of it was white bumps on my throat.missy177
If you have bumps on back of your mouth and under your tongue and it hurts to swallow, you are most likely coming down with some kind of virus. It may be strep throat and will need to be checked out by a physician.
Has he had a fever? It could be strep throat, or another type of bacterial infection.
No, it stays at the tonsils.
Sore throat is one symptom but strep throat is syrep throat
A sore throat can be caused by many things. Although a yellow tongue could be a result of having a strep throat, you also need to look for patches on the tongue or if its hurts or is sensitive to touch. If your throat or tongue is causing you pain, it would be best to go see a doctor about it.
A cold usually comes along with other things, sometimes flu, strep throat, etc. and the reason that is is because coughs and colds lower your immune system, the body is fighting the cold and it lowers the immune system allowing other virus's and germs to get in this also includes allergies
Could be strep throat (Group A Streptococcal). Has he had a sore throat, runny nose or fever? My son had pimple like bumps around his mouth and nose when he had strep throat. They sound like pimples. If they aren't maybe a rash.
Yes a severe sore throat could be strep throat, even without any visible marks or patches on the throat or tongue. I have tested positive for strep throat without any vomiting, stomach problems, or any oral patches to be seen several times.
Not that I know of. Some symptoms of strep throat are obviously sore throat with white sports, difficulty in eating or drinking, feeling very cold of very hot, and having bad breath.
It's possible that you have strep throat. You should get a strep test just in case. Just visit a doctor, and they'll swipe a swab on the back of your throat. If the strep test is negative, then the doc may figure out another illness you may have. There's definitely something up with your throat tho.
