It is safe to take Prilosec with amoxicillin. There are no drug-drug interactions between the two medications. Prilosec is considered to be one of the very safe drugs on the market, while amoxicillin possess some of the common side effects of antibiotics: Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, Prilosec will not worsen the side effects when taken with amoxicillin.

∙ 9y agoAn online drug interaction checker doesn't show any negative side effects from combining amoxicillin and aciphex, but that doesn't mean none exist. Never combine medications without checking with your Doctor Who knows your medical history. If your doctor is unavailable when you call, check with your pharmacist.

∙ 13y agoYes. Warnings against antacids are for those that contain magnesium or aluminum like maalox. These metals can prevent absorption of the medicine. Prilosec and nexium are ok to take

∙ 10y agoYou can safely take antacids with amoxicillin. Antacids should not be taken with tetracycline group of antibiotics. In that case antacids cause ch-elation and then both becomes ineffective.
