Don't worry, that's just your period blood mixing with the urine as it comes out. It shouldn't be unusual, but if it seems to be different from normal period blood, you might want to see your doctor if it continues beyond your period.

Clinical answer: The blood (or whatever, what little I know suggests there's more than just blood) comes from a coating that forms in the urethra, thus providing nutrients for a fertilized egg to draw on, and enabling the development of the placenta, umbilical cort and fetus, which hopefully becomes a healthy baby in 9 months. A woman's period is a refresh stage of the cycle - having not successfully developed an embryo during ovulation, the old layer is shed allowing a new one to begin to form, much like skin.
Since I'm neither a gynocologist nor female, I have very very little experience with the topic. I'm fairly sure I've got my facts straight, but if you need accurate data, look for a better source.

∙ 12y agoYes it should. If it didnt then it wouldn't be a period. During ur period, blood comes out cuz of somtin goin on in ur body. I don't wanna give u much of a lessen here so im just gonna tell u that u can find out on the internet or even ask ur mom, a nurse, even ur doctor. Kinda gross but its wat happens.;)
