Wines like Zinfandel white or pink are made dry, which means almost all of the natural sugar of the grapes has been converted to alcohol. Winemakers will often add concentrated grapejuice prior to bottling so as to bring the sweetness up to the style of wine they are making. This can mean the added sugar is between 5 grams and 20 grams per litre.... minuscule when compared to soft drinks like Coca Cola.

Sometimes the wine can be marketed totally dry, with no added sugar from concentrated grapejuice. Beware however, the alcohol and sweetness level should be considered to together as sources of potential calories. A dry but high alcohol wine can also be high in calories, as some of the alcohol is converted to fats by your body.
