No, not in Burien.
The first BBC, or Butcher, Baker, Candlestickmaker restaurant concept in the Puget Sound area opened in 1973 in South Tacoma, on South Tacoma Way, at the NW intersection of I-5 and state route 512. Approximately 10 years later, this BBC became known as The Purple Rhino for several years, before eventually becoming a Cody's Restaurant & Bakery.
The second BBC opened in 1976 in Federal Way, just north of the Sea-Tac mall. The third BBC opened in 1978 in Kennewick, or the Tri-Cities area of Eastern Washington. The fourth, and last, BBC opened in 1982, in Lynnwood, just west of the Alderwood mall on 33rd Street, which later become The Alderwood Terrace, then Fanny's on 33rd, and finally, the original Cody's Restaurant & Bakery.
Although never a BBC itself, The Falls Terrace in Olympia, Wa (Tumwater, Wa) provided the groundwork for the original BBC concept menus, and thus shared those same menus as a sister restaurant under the common corporate ownership of Select Enterprises, Inc., based in Olympia, Wa.
