Count on 4 to 5 moderate servings per pound, depending on what else you're serving, so a 10 pound ham would feed 40 to 50 people.

I have always been told to figure 1/2 lb per person so a 10 lb ham would feed roughly 20 people. Of course this is just an estimate, and would vary depending on whether they're all adults or if some are children, etc.

Trying to determine the right amount of food to purchase for a gathering can be tricky. For a ten pound ham which still has the bone in it, you can feed between 8 - 10 people.

It depends what else they are having. If having 3 veg and a salad or soup, then about 5 oz each is enough. So in that case 10 lbs would feed 30 people.
