Why does katniss insist that she not cry or respond emotionally?

If she shows how tired,sad,and hurt she is the Capitol audiences might think she is weak. Then she could risk losing sponsors and not gaining any sponsors. The sponsors give the tributes vital supplies.

∙ 12y agoKatniss still feels that she has to conceal her emotions during The Hunger Games because if she shows that the Katniss-Peeta romance is just acting on her part, district 12 will lose sponsors and if Katniss loses her sponsors, she will likely lose her life as well.

∙ 11y agoBecause if she's in the arena and the watchers see her as a weakling, she won't get sponsors, the only ones who can give her tools to survive such as food, medicine, etc.

not all emos cry but its because emo means emotionally unstable or there just seeking attention

Because either you are emotionally attached to it or you're just plain draw into the song.
