Why did they change the character Victoria in eclipse?

Victoria was replaced because Rachelle Lefevre, the actress who played her in the Twilight the movie, had previous commitments to another company that over lapped with the recording of the twilight series. Unfortunatly neither production company was able to reschedule and she choose the other film.

The girl that origanaly played Victoria didnt know when they were filming so she signed a contract to start a different movie.Then she found out that filming was the same time as the movie she signed the contract for and she was forced to do the other movie. So she wanted to play Victoria but she was stuck doing a dfferent movie.

I have heard it was because Rachelle Lefevré got pregnant, but I personally think it was because she couldn't do the high, babyish voice right. Do you remember how Bella was describing Victoria's voice as "babyish" and the type of voice that went along with "blonde curls and bubble gum"? That's why I think Rachelle was replaced by Bryce.

Well.. to answer your question, rachelle lafevre wasnt replaced, she got Fired. reason being is: She was in another movie and didnt tell the director about it and so it slipped up one day about rachelle lafevre starring in another movie and thas how the director knew about it and so he gave her a pink slip and from then on she was fired. sound simple enough?

The word was going around that there will be a new Victoria in eclipse. Apparently Rachelle Lefevre, who originally cast as Victoria for the movie saga signed on to cast in the indie movie Barney's Version which would require 10 days of shooting. Well the shooting of Barney's Version overlapped with the shooting of eclipse, which she got in a lot of trouble by Summit Entertainment.
